So, I forgot about my blog. Like a long time ago. I haven't posted anything in like... 8 months? Well. I'm back. Sorta. I decided I'm going to just post pictures, and captions and stuff like that. This post is short, but I'm going to upload pictures soon.

Why is this post titled 'home'.? Welllllll... Because we just moved into our new one. C: Yeah, its pretty cool. But I'm not going to write all the details.

Our house was a short sale, so it took us 6 months to even get a contract on our house. Well, we sold our old house in June, and we didn't close until November. So, our family lived in an apartment for 6 months. It was torture. Our apartment was so small, and our cooktop didn't work right, and our oven burned everything, and I could spend hours on end complaining about that stinkin' apartment. But, it's over. So I won't. C: ANYWAY. The apartment had 3 bedrooms, and it was only 1000 square feet. We were on the first floor, so we heard every person go up the stairs outside. They rattled. A lot. But hey, at least WE weren't the people who had to go up and down the stairs. That's good. And, when it was time to move out we didn't have to keep going up and down stairs with couches and mattresses and boxes and all the stuff we have. So, listening to all the people go up and down the stairs is not too terrible, all things considered.

SO, now we have a house that's a few times bigger than the apartment. And man, it feels good to have so much space. With moving into an awesome house, in an awesome neighborhood, that goes to really great schools, on a quiet street, there were sacrifices. We moved ACROSS the interstate! Haha, we actually lived like 2 minutes from it in the apartment, and like 10 minutes now. So, it's only 15 minutes from our old house && apartment. But, the interstate is the boundary for our schools, and ward. So, new school. And new ward. But, although we do miss it, we're makin' some new friends, and we'll survive. C; I start my new school in a few days, and truth be told, I'm not nervous. I already know a bunch of girls from church that I'll go to school with. It's gonna be pretty cool. C;

I need a new post. I haven't blogged in forever, and neither have any of my friends. So "what's the point?" Is the question I've been asking myself. Well, I've decided there is no point. But, I think I'm going to blog anyway. I love to blog, even if no one reads it. I love writing, so what better place is there to practice? None really.

So, my last post in November about getting my camera turned out to be true! I got it and I love my Nikon d3000. If anyone is looking for a new camera around $500... Thats the one I suggest. I did tons of research, and I decided its the best one for me. My dad bought me a professional book about it, and its helps a ton. :)

I would post some of the pictures I took, but since we're moving soon, my parents had to take my computer out of the office and put my moms in there. I didnt even think about posting pictures, until now.

I have very mixed feelings about moving. Theres so much I don't know... Will I like my new house? Will I like my new school? Will I make friends like the ones I have now? I WANT to move. I WANT a new house. I don't want to switch schools. I don't want to leave all my friends. And I really don't want to live far away from my cousins. I've lived 7 doors down from them for 8 years now. I can't imagine what it would be like. Mostly because I was 3 or 4 when I moved here, so my whole memory has been of them living down the street.

Well, like lots of bloggers, I'm going to try and blog more. I feel like I say that too much. I really don't want to stop blogging. Ive blogged for almost 4 years. I don't want to abandon it after so long! So, I'm going to try and blog.

This year I decided I wanted a DSLR camera. After about a month of shopping it out, I finally found one I really like. It comes with a great lens, and its 10 mega pixels. I'm so excited for Christmas!

Wow! My seventh grade year has gone by so fast! I can't believe we have gone 8 weeks already. Its amazing!

As usual, sorry for not posting, and all that Blah Blah Blah... Its annoying when EVERY post is someone saying that. UGH! I think its annoying, but I still do. I'm not gonna judge...

School has been easy. Lots of projects, LOTS of homework, but most of my teachers take participation grades.

That's the daily ritual in every class.

One thing that would make my 7Th grade experience better is yearbook. Why can't I do it? Because I would only be able to have 1 elective. And I like having 2... The only time that "Publications" is, is during my GT reading, and that's the only time it is, because there's only 10 GT reading students. It REALLY stinks because photography is MY LIFE and the only time I can have my camera at school... Is at the same time as my stupid reading class. Why do I have to be a nerd?

Speaking of nerds, I am in pentathlon. Its like Scholastic Decathlon, but its for Jr. High. And I'm in the highest group, Varsity, so my mom likes to call me the Varsity Nerd. Its been the joke for as long as I can remember that I'm the nerd. I'm always the nerd. I'm a cool nerd, but I'm a nerd.

I feel this post is very random. Well the title is very vague. So never mind... Forget I said that. :)

spanish.

This year one of my electives was Spanish. Since I'm in GT I get two electives. I'm in Spanish and home ec. I wanted to take technology, but that that wasn't on the list of choices when we went to enter our schedules into the computer... I'm doing home ec instead.

Spanish is actually easier to learn that English is. I'm still learning English and I started when I was 1 year old. And I'm still going to be learning English until I graduate college. I started learning Spanish and it's SO much easier! Each letter has it's own sound. Just ONE sound. It's way easier to read too. What you see, you say. It's so much easier! I'm taking Spanish for a high school credit. Yeah, I'm a nerd(: at least I know it. Anyways, I like Spanish. I only have to take it for 3 years I think. And that's all. So I have to take English for 17 today years (Kindergarten through the end of college) And I have to take Spanish for 3 years. That adds up huh?

Camp was so much fun! We did get the tree houses and I met tons of new people. The last night we had an all nighter and we stayed awake until 7 and fell asleep only 30 minutes before breakfast! So close, and we made it the furthest through the night. Everyone else fell asleep before 5 o'clock.

Girl camp is this week! I'm so excited, I'm going to be a first year. I'm not even leaving until Tuesday, and I packed today. I will say, I'm way overexcited. But I DON'T CARE! Come on, this is GIRLS CAMP, you get to be overexcited. ;)

I waited all summer for this! Its at the very end of the summer because that was an arrangement for the place, but it doesn't matter to me. It's been pretty dry lately, which is the most rare thing in my city. Hot and humid, almost all year. We do get about 5 months of cool/cold weather. In 2009 it snowed 3 times! In Southern Texas, thats a super rare thing. In Northern Texas, its not surprising.

Anyway, I'm getting off topic. Girls Camp was expensive this year, (cheaper than last) and all the people I know say it pays off. There are some rumors that my ward is going to get treehouses!! How awesome would that be? My first year and I get to be in treehouses! The cabins are just fine too, but treehouses.... Thats awesome! What kid hasn't wanted to sleep in, or at least BE IN a treehouse? No one I know, thats for sure.

My friends say its a really fun experience every year. I'm so excited, I'm trying to kill my time with stuff like movies, computer, and sleep. I want to go so bad! Its just 2 more days I know, but I need this 2 days to go by fast! Well, only about a day and a half now. Its almost 5:30. (Killing my time makes it go pretty fast)

What's not to like? I'm talking about my city. Gorgeous buildings, beautiful lakes, amazing forests... Everything. I'm going to be posting pictures soon, and I'm excited!! I love taking pictures, and I take them of everything. If you can get the right angle, lighting, and focus, the picture will be amazing. I think any camera can take amazing pictures, not just the expensive ones. Any picture can be amazing, of anything. You can also edit pictures, to give them extra glam. My favorite subject is flowers, but pretty much everything in nature is beautiful. Even man-made things can be wonderful.

I have a few pictures of my city, but I'm gonna wait until I have a bunch. There are a few things that I want to take some pictures of. Like a lake at Texas Childrens Hospital. At night, the lights are so spectacular!

I love to take pictures, and write on my blog. So I decided, when I'm older, I want to be a journalist! I think writing and photography go well together, even if it's just a caption on a picture. That's why I try to put a caption on everything, even if it's just describing the obvious. Like "This is a flower". But instead of that, I would say "This flower is my favorite" or "This flower is beautiful". I describe things very... Descriptively? I'm not sure what the word is.

I need to go take some pictures. (:
